With Lify, there's no need for prior preparation or knowledge in brewing a perfect cup of herbal tea. Traditional Chinese herbal tea has been a time-honored health drink in Hong Kong and Southern China for centuries. However, with younger generations becoming more health-conscious, there is a need for a modernized solution that offers convenience and a personalized user-centric experience. Lify aims to fulfill this need by integrating technology and culture, resulting in an interactive product that fits seamlessly into every home.

One of the unique features of Lify is its ability to learn about you and provide personalized recommendations. It takes into account your habits and conditions, and based on this information, recommends various herbal tea blends. Lify even provides weather-based drinking tips, ensuring that you have the perfect cup of herbal tea for every occasion.

The design of Lify incorporates technology, material interactions, and user experience. The seamless one-touch cross button on the front panel of the brewer is made using the IMD production method, while the mirror-like finishing of the front panel and top handle creates a reflective effect. The side panels of the brewer are made of semi-translucent matte plastic, revealing embedded LED mood light stripes. These design elements not only make Lify visually appealing but also enhance the overall user experience.

Operating Lify is simple and intuitive. Users start by placing a herbal disc vertically into the slot and can choose to either press the cross button for automatic brewing or personalize the brewing formula through the companion phone application. The app also allows users to make quick diagnoses and recommends specific herbal tea blends based on their needs. Users can then personalize the brewing parameters, such as infusion time, temperature, and brewing volume. Additionally, herbal discs can be conveniently purchased through the app and delivered to your doorstep.

The Lify project started in June 2017 in Hong Kong and was completed in February 2018. Since then, it has been exhibited at various consumer product fairs and design shows, garnering attention and recognition for its innovative approach to herbal tea brewing.

With its seamless integration of technology and culture, Lify is not just a herbal tea brewer but a holistic wellness solution. It combines the ancient wisdom of Chinese herbal tea with modern convenience and personalization, making it an essential companion for those seeking a healthy lifestyle.
